. . . beyond measure

Feel Math

The Feel Math program is designed to set your child up for success for university math and engineering classes.

Feel Math is based on learning science — the understanding that learning happens in the doing, is incremental, involves patterns, and is the result of immediate feedback.

There is nothing exactly like the Feel Math program for your child.

Each day, your child will receive 3 problems to engage them in learning the symbols and mathematical foundational concepts their professors expect them to know when they get to university. The activity will take no more than 15 minutes a day. This is a perfect activity while riding the bus to school or just waiting for parent pickup.

Do not let go of this: Your child is brilliant. They are logical and can surprise you with their ability to reason. They often surprise you with their level of argumentation. Right?

So, what is the problem? The most current research finds that K-12 students are not leaving high school prepared to be successful in university math classes. What is missing? Your child is lacking the language and symbolism of math. They are lacking the math experiences that will prepare them to sit with confidence in a university math classroom.

Do a couple of experiments with your child.

  1. Show your child this math symbolism and ask them what they think the answer is?

  2. Ask them how they would represent this vector?

The Feel Math program teaches the language of math using carefully chosen questions and immediate feedback, key to learning. With Feel Math, your child will continue to see questions that they begin to recognize and the patterns that are the language of math. They will learn the math symbolism and confidence they will need to engage in university math classes.

Feel Math is a very new and different approach used to prepare students to for success in their university-level math classes. It has been developed to teach what their engineering professors and other STEM professors expect they know. It takes less than 5 minutes a day and middle school is not too early to begin the Feel Math program.

Feel Math teaches the language of math and key concepts university instructors assume all student know. Feel Math exists to improve confidence and student success at university.

Feel Math takes one half hour a day. It is recommended for all students, and students can begin as early as middle school.

Feel Math students can participate from any device including a smart phone or tablet.

Feel Math students receive immediate feedback and reinforcement.

Feel Math is affordable and is available to all students based on need.
